Coogee Beach is a serene haven of tourists who want to bask in the orange rays of the sun, surfing and swimming in cool blue waters, build sandcastles, throw and catch frisbees, and walk under white sand carpets. Aside from the beach, there are still more destinations that travelers must see in visiting Coogee.

The first must see place is the Wedding Cake Island, an island a kilometer away from Coogee Beach. It is name so because the shape of the island is like a wedding cake. This island is like a protective blessing to Coogee Beach, as it contributes to lessen the impact of giant waves coming to the shores. Every November an event called the Island Challenge is held in Wedding Cake, wherein contestants race by swimming from Coogee to the front of the island.

Travelers must also see the Bali bombing memorial statue located at Dolphin Point. The bronze landmark was built to honor the twenty Coogee locals who died in the Bali bombings in the tourist district of Kuta in Indonesia in 2002. The statue is a walking distance to the Gordons Bay in the north where the waters are clearest and where swimming enthusiasts snorkel and watch Coogee's underwater beauty. There is also the Coogee Surf Life Saving Club headquarters, the base of a pioneer organization that introduced historic life saving events in the world.
